MiraTerm Download

Questions and answers

Is MiraTerm free?

Yes, during the beta, with every feature. A paid plan is planned after the official release; nothing is charged without your choosing it.

Which Macs does it run on?

Macs with Apple Silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 14 or later.

Why does macOS warn me when I open it?

The beta is not yet signed with an Apple developer certificate. You allow it once in System Settings; the Download page shows the steps. Signing is planned before the official release.

How does copying keep tables and lists?

Claude Code and Codex save the Markdown behind each reply on your Mac. MiraTerm finds the reply you selected and puts its real structure on the clipboard beside the plain text. For other output it reads the shapes drawn on screen. Nothing leaves your Mac for this.

Where do pasted tables work?

It has been checked with Notion, Google Docs and Pages. Other apps that accept rich text or HTML, such as Word and Confluence, should work as well; tell us if one does not.

Does MiraTerm send my data anywhere?

No. What you type and what your programs print stay on your Mac. The app has no account and no tracking. This website counts visits and downloads by country and city, without storing addresses.

Where are my SSH passwords kept?

In the macOS Keychain, only if you choose to save one. They are never written to a settings file, and you can remove them in MiraTerm or in Keychain Access.

Search only finds what is on screen in Claude Code. Why?

In its full-screen mode Claude Code draws its own screen, and earlier text is not handed to the terminal. Type /tui default in Claude Code to switch modes; after that ⌘F searches the whole session.

Which AI agents work with MiraTerm?

MiraTerm is a full terminal, so any agent you start from the command line runs in it, and you can run several side by side. Copying a reply as a document with its tables and lists is built for Claude Code and Codex; for other programs MiraTerm reads the shapes drawn on screen.
